Hey, I found a great bargain website! I thought you might be interested. I was recently invited to this site by my daughter. It has trendy, upscale merchandise for great sale prices! When you use my email address to log in, it will give you a five dollar credit to use immediately!
I am always a little bit afraid of these kind of sites but I used this one today and it was great and I even had to call customer service to help me with a mistake I made in my order and they were great at helping me get it corrected! I think you might like to try it too. Here is the link:

Oklahoma's 2010 Realtor of the Year
Dennis received a wonderful award yesterday at the Oklahoma Association of Realtors annual conference in Tulsa Oklahoma.
He was the recipient of the 2010 Oklahoma Realtor of the Year award and it was a huge surprise for him!
They played this video at the awards banquet. It was such a great honor for Dennis to be named Oklahoma's Realtor of the Year. I truly believed he has worked so hard over the years and given so much back to his profession by serving on various committees and as an officer. I am so proud of him!
Congratulations Dennis!

Making lemonade!
Upon arrival, we had to give out the usual Juju and Papa gifts!
and this is them anxiously awaiting our lavish gifts!
and here they are with them!
and of course there were more....
POP ROCKS! He loved them!
I think she did too???

This week brought Fun, Fun, Fun in the sun! Of course, wouldn't you know that the week we head to Virginia (hoping for cooler weather) they would have record hi temps! So we made lemonade with the lemons - we headed to Virginia Beach! Yes the day after we arrived and got all our missed hugs and kisses from them, we packed up and headed to Virginia Beach for some fun in the sand and sun. Of course they were setting up for the big Neptune festival that coming weekend so it was kind of crazy but the beaches were not that busy... yet. Just one block to go...
Yep that's me in the floppy hat... you know... the skinny one!
OK - maybe it wasn't me but I used to be that skinny - I promise!
That's right - you guessed it - no pictures of me in my bathing suit!
That's why I hold the camera and take all the pictures!
**********
On Friday we had tickets to see Disney on Ice - Toy Story - it was much anticipated by the kids! There was a billboard on the highway and we passed it several times before Friday morning and every time the kids got so excited!
Don't you just love their expressions! They were amazed and so was I! It was great!
The Boys!
The Girls!
Love this face!
Buz and Belle

Then Saturday we watched swimming lessons and just generally hung out playing!
Don't even say it - I know I have that pink top on in almost every picture! I promise, I wore other clothes while I was gone - my wardrobe was just limited!!
***********
One night we even offered to babysit so they could go out for a change by themselves.
Here are a few pictures of our idea of babysitting...
That's right - Rita's Gelato and Water ice... yum
Other babysitting tactics - get Papa to play the Pretty, Pretty Princess game with us!

We went to the newly renovated Science Museum and saw the new Hubble 3D IMAX show and it was awesome! The kids really liked it - not sure if they understood but they liked it!
Sunday was a special treat. We went to church with them and then we went to Yorktown where we had reservations at the Carrot Tree. Great crabcakes!

Historic Yorktown - beautiful!
Always hard to leave... until next time!
The land of Country Music - no way - not me
Anyone who knows me, knows how I feel about country music! And, you may be asking, "Why in the world would she go to Nashville?" the home of country music. It is everywhere you go and all you see are boots, hats and blue jeans! After this experience, don't be surprised if you see me wearing my cowboy boots... I may be a believer now. Actually they are kind of cute with dresses and skirts! I just need to be about 40 lbs lighter to look like those girls we saw in Nashville! Oh well, here I come anyway!
Now, to the real reason for our recent Nashville trip.... to see our dear friends Mike and Emilie. Mike recently had surgery and we just felt compelled to go check up on him. He's doing great - you just can't keep him down! In fact, they don't look a day older than the day I met them - way back in 1977! (except for a little gray on Mikey - sorry Mikey, I had to tell them.)

And anyone who knows Mike and Emilie know how much they love their little Cokes!
Our last night in Nashville, they took us to this little hamburger joint close to downtown Nashville for a greasy hamburger/fries and cokes! A real treat!
(See what I mean about them never aging?)
One of the highlights of our trip was when the guys went to play golf and the girls went to Cheekwood Park to see the Chihuly outdoor exhibit! It was outstanding!
Here are a few of my favorite pictures from that outing.
To be fair - I will show a bit of the golf.... boring.....
OK - that's enough golf
Next we went to the... I think it was called the Country Music Hall of Fame??
Anyway, you name 'em and they were highlighted there! To tell you the truth, I didn't know half of them but Dennis seemed to know them all - I guess that is thanks to his Dad and Mom playing that country music in the car on those long family vacations!
Yep - caught him red handed in the Hall of Fame!
From there we took a quick trip over to Studio B (all you recording artists out there have heard of that, haven't you?) Well, it was fun and I even got to play the piano that Elvis used in the wee hours of the morning to warm up his back up singers!!!
I even got a little kiss from Elvis himself! He is alive you know!
We also took a river boat ride on the General Jackson where we heard some more "wonderful" country music with a live band and they fed us a great dinner while we cruised the river!
It was a wonderful trip and we had a great visit with friends. From there, we flew out to the East coast to visit two of our very beautiful and very talented grandchildren! (That was a little sappy wasn't it?) Look for pics in the next post!
till we meet again!
