Upon arrival, we had to give out the usual Juju and Papa gifts!
and this is them anxiously awaiting our lavish gifts!
and here they are with them!

POP ROCKS!  He loved them!

This week brought Fun, Fun, Fun in the sun!  Of course, wouldn't you know that the week we head to Virginia (hoping for cooler weather) they would have record hi temps!  So we made lemonade with the lemons - we headed to Virginia Beach!  Yes the day after we arrived and got all our missed hugs and kisses from them, we packed up and headed to Virginia Beach for some fun in the sand and sun.  Of course they were setting up for the big Neptune festival that coming weekend so it was kind of crazy but the beaches were not that busy... yet.
Just one block to go...
Yep that's me in the floppy hat... you know... the skinny one!
OK - maybe it wasn't me but I used to be that skinny - I promise!
That's right - you guessed it - no pictures of me in my bathing suit!
That's why I hold the camera and take all the pictures!

On Friday we had tickets to see Disney on Ice - Toy Story - it was much anticipated by the kids!  There was a billboard on the highway and we passed it several times before Friday morning and every time the kids got so excited!
Don't you just love their expressions!  They were amazed and so was I!  It was great!
The Boys!
The Girls!

Love this face!
Buz and Belle

Then Saturday we watched swimming lessons and just generally hung out playing!
Don't even say it - I know I have that pink top on in almost every picture!  I promise, I wore other clothes while I was gone - my wardrobe was just limited!!

One night we even offered to babysit so they could go out for a change by themselves.
Here are a few pictures of our idea of babysitting...
That's right - Rita's Gelato and Water ice... yum
Other babysitting tactics - get Papa to play the Pretty, Pretty Princess game with us!

We went to the newly renovated Science Museum and saw the new Hubble 3D IMAX show and it was awesome!  The kids really liked it - not sure if they understood but they liked it!

Sunday was a special treat.  We went to church with them and then we went to Yorktown where we had reservations at the Carrot Tree.  Great crabcakes!

Historic Yorktown - beautiful!

Always hard to leave...    until next time!
