Escape from 2011 Blizzard

Yep - that's what I said - escape from 2011 Blizzard.  On Sunday before the now past blizzard of 2011, I headed south to Austin.  I was going to get away before it hit and that's just what I did.  However, how was I suppose to know that the storm would dip as far south as I could drive in one long morning?  I did have a couple absolutely beautiful days and we drove with the convertible top down and it was bliss - I said bliss... not blizzard and that was exactly what you were getting here at home!

 We bundled up!  Grrrr we are ready to go tackle that big bad weather outside!

So proud of her 8 inch snowman!

 I got to spend a couple extra days because of this wonderful snow!

Well, we were a little sad because this wonderful snowman was gone by noon!
