I'm back. We went to Virginia and played with our two grandbabies there. We really don't get to see them as much as we would like but we had so much fun. The kids are getting so big and Ty is talking so much more than we realized. Every time they put him on the phone, he really doesn't talk to us so we thought... maybe he isn't talking that much. We rationalized, he is a boy and they tend to talk later than girls. Well, we come to find out he is only phone shy! He talks! and he talks a lot! It was so much fun being there and it takes only minutes to get reacquainted with them. It warmed my heart as well as made me very sad to have our last conversation with Alannah! They went with their Mommy to take us to the Amtrak station to catch our train to DC and on the way there (only about 20 minutes away) she asked me when I was coming home. I replied that we would be in DC for about 5 or 6 days and then we would go home. She asked me again, "Juju, when are you coming home?" and again I replied that we would be home by Saturday. She went on to ask again and this time she said "When are you coming home to my house!" I tried to explain that we were going home to Edmond but would come to see her again soon. She asked "When?, When are you coming home to my house?" ... I think she asked about 10 times between her house and the train station! She needed to know when! It really touched my heart! I miss them already!
While we were at their house, we went to the zoo, and the beach, flew kites and played at a park by the beach. We had so much fun! Here are a few of our favorite pictures!
Did I forget to mention the trip to the emergency room while we were there?
Yep and Papa was reading him the local newspaper to keep him occupied!
Well, he spent the night but was fine (a little hyper) just fine the next day!
We said our goodbyes at the train and through our window and headed up to DC
More on our time in DC later....until next time,
