Snow in Austin? Snow everywhere this year

Wow - what's going on?  I took down my flag already out front that stated "Let it Snow" -- and I only took it down at the urging of my sweet husband and dear neighbor.  The nerve of them thinking it was my fault that it was snowing every weekend for the past month!   Oh well, I broke under the pressure and took it down and hung my US flag instead!  (You know... supporting the olympians!) But as you can see, it hasn't helped the snow business but it sure has helped our US Olympians!!! I take full credit for all our medals won so far!  Anyway, we are expecting snow again this weekend too and guess what - low and behold - my sweet granddaughter called me today to tell me that it was snowing at her house in Austin!  Last time it snowed really big at our house, we got on skype and talked to her and I told her I would show her my snow and as I took the laptop and scanned the back yard I fully expected her to say something about all of our snow and all she said was - You have a slide?!  It was like she had never seen it before!  Oh well, so much for impressing her with our snowfall!  I'm not sure she really even understood what snow was - you know, being from Austin and all!  Well, today she found out all about it with her nearly 1 inch of snow! Here is the video of her checking it out in her back  yard today.

I'm not really sure she was all that impressed with her own snow today! but we have pictures to prove to her that she really did get snow before her 3rd birthday!
Well, so much for my snow story, now I have to get back to my TV and watch more olympics!  I'm not sure what I will do once they are over because so far, I have been glued to the set since they started. Go USA!

2004 - 2009 Trips with friends

We have been traveling with friends for several years now and have been blessed with some wonderful memories.  The trips in this video are just the ones with our dear life long friends "The Lambs".  We have taken other trips with other friends over the years but never on a regular basis like we have with these friends.  They hold a very special place in our hearts and our children have grown up together.   We hope to have many more years traveling with them.  They have been such a blessing to us.  Enjoy the video and look for more in the future that include others!
